HAIR-EXTENSIONS

How Long Do Hair Extensions Last?

The longevity of hair extensions depends on several factors, including the type of extensions, the quality of the hair, and how well they are maintained. Professionally applied, high-quality human hair extensions can last anywhere from three months to over a year with proper care. For semi-permanent options like tape-ins, hand-tied wefts, or keratin bonds, regular maintenance appointments are essential to keep them looking fresh and seamless. These typically need to be moved up or adjusted every 6 to 8 weeks as your natural hair grows.

Clip-in extensions offer a more flexible option and can last over a year if they are properly stored, washed gently, and handled with care. Since they aren’t worn daily, they experience less wear and tear compared to permanent methods.

No matter which type you choose, proper care is key to maximizing their lifespan. Using sulfate-free products, avoiding excessive heat, and following recommended maintenance guidelines will help keep your extensions looking beautiful for as long as possible.

Professional Human Hair Extensions are easily maintained and durable, so you can generally use the same hair for up to a year with proper follow up care. Whether you have short, curly, or blonde locks, extensions give everyone a fun opportunity to switch things up. The only question you need to ask yourself is which style is right for you? This is where Eugene Hair Extensions is here to help. To provide the most accurate quote for your hair extensions, an in-person consultation is essential. Every person's hair is unique, with different textures, lengths, and starting points, which all affect the type of extensions needed and the overall cost.

Find The Best Method for your hair

Sew In Extensions

The styles within this method refer to the way that the hair extensions themselves are made. Hand tied wefts are produced by manually tying hair to the extension seam and knotting it in place by hand. Hybrid, infinity or full machine wefts are produced by either a combination of manual tying or full machine manufacturing and have come a long way with the technology of the small seems. Due to their seamless look and full coverage wefts, are perfect for those with extremely thin hair. Wefts are also highly customizable for length and density, they are easier to blend into your natural hair, and harder to detect if someone touches your head.

Microlink Hair Extensions

They attach to the head thanks to very small and discreet beads. The hair is clamped into place, lying flat to the head and adding volume and length.Micro-beading is a great way to apply extensions for long-lasting natural results. Since the extensions applied through micro-beading are so lightweight and flexible, they will improve the appearance of your hair while still giving your natural hair a chance to grow without weighted damage.

Fusion Hair Extensions

Fusion bonds are special keratin tips that are applied directly over your natural hair. This process uses a heated clamp to melt the glue and keep the extension in place. Since fusion hair   extensions are applied close to the roots of your hair strand by strand so that it is hard for others to detect whether you are wearing extensions or not.

Tape In Hair Extensions

Tape in hair extensions are thin tape wefts, 1 inch wide pre-taped hair wefts, that get "taped-in" in between your own hair in "sandwich” like bonds. This method is 100% natural, requires no tools or chemicals, and lasts up to three months-and the hair is reusable!

  • What Type Of Extensions Are Best For Thin Hair?

    Best Extensions for Thin Hair

✨ Tape-In Extensions – Ultra-lightweight and seamless, these extensions blend perfectly with thin hair and lay flat against the scalp for an undetectable look. We use premium, hand-crafted tape-ins that last longer and won’t cause breakage.

✨ Hand-Tied Weft Extensions – A luxury option for those who want volume without bulk. These extensions are sewn into small, flexible beads for a natural, lightweight feel.

✨ Nano Ring Extensions – A long-term, strand-by-strand method that is gentle on thin hair. Our nano rings are virtually invisible and blend flawlessly with your natural hair.

    What to Avoid

🚫 Cheap, Heavy Clip-Ins – Low-quality extensions can weigh down your hair and cause breakage.
